He's been a momma's boy since the very beginning. Even as I type, he's laying in between my arms and dozing off

This is after his first set of shots and blood draw. I stayed by his side for over 5 hours because all he wanted to do was sleep by his mommy.

Ain't Captain a cutie? You can't tell by these pictures, but he has beautiful blue eyes. He's half Siamese and half Tabby cat - what a perfect mix.

Vegas for my Bday Weekend!

We stayed at the Bellagio and saw MJ!!! No, not Michael Jackson. Ew. We saw Michael Jordan. He's ginormous!!! All in all, a cool weekend. I came up $16! But I'm not really "up" since I did buy a purse. Tsk tsk! But it was my birthday weekend, so I guess it's ok.

I'm the one in the pink lei. We went to the Wilshire Grand... then to Pegasus?!? Fun Fun night. My guy friend in the background "accidentally" threw salt in my right eye before we took a shot of Patron, but it didn't sting for some reason. He's lucky or I would have kicked his a$$. Haha!

It's a Brighter Day

I thought I had a bad day because random not-so-good things were happening to me. But I just found out that my friend got into a 4 car accident this morning, which was not her fault. She's ok, thank goodness, but she has some minor pains as a result.

I'm just happy she's alive and well... =)

Today was not such a good day

I used to be in a bad mood all the time, but for the past few months I've calmed down considerably and have managed to not let things bother me. Today, however, was an exception.

Let's see: I slept at my friend's house so I had to drive home in traffic. I took forever getting ready (I don't know why). It took forever to get to my interview due to traffic at 11am?!?, but arrived there right on time (which is not good, cuz I'm usually early). I had to pay $8 for valet parking at a medical building!?! The interview went "weird." Usually I would say that the interivew went "well." I was stuck in traffic on the way home at 12noonish! I was hungry but couldn't find anything good to eat. I went shopping and the parking lot was crowded as if it were a weekend. I returned something, but couldn't find anything nice to buy. I went to Jack-in-the-Crack and had to park on the side to wait for my food. Now I sit here, wondering what gifts to give to every one.

Sigh! I admit that a lot of my troubles stem from myself. And now that I admit it, I feel better. Perhaps a nice nap or some nice wine would help me. Hehe!

I'll probably just sleep early because I have work tomorrow.. which is another thing that's kind of driving me crazy. I will leave that for another time.

442nd Regimental Combat Team
Such HONORABLE men...

...One of the most decorated units to serve in WWII. I was watching the History Channel today and they were talking about the "camps" that the Japanese-American people were forced into. How ignorant to stereotype, profile, and accuse any race and single them out as a group that is supposedly plotting against America.

Despite the circumstances, these men served this country well. They held no resentment or hostility towards the country that basically rounded them up and herded them into camps.

I, along with many others, got teary-eyed when these great men marched down the street, looking so proud, yet so humble.

I salute you!

My Idol

This is my guy, my idol...Hehe! Just like "Ogres are like onions," so am I. I have many layers, but I just happen to have a "tough" exterior. People judge the outside and hardly ever take the time to look at what's really inside. Take the time people!!! (perhaps if I smiled more, people would huh? but smiling doesn't necessarily mean that you're a nice person. and not smiling doesn't mean that you're not a nice person.)

Party Bus NOT highly recommended!!!

Went on a "party bus" last night. It was actually a small tour bus. I couldn't find a good image of it on the net, but you should know what I'm talking about. It said something like "West Coast Tours" across the outside of the bus. They let you bring your own drinks and drink along the way...

We got to White Lotus before 10pm and they were playing jazz music. Not bad for the people eating there, but for the party people, we expected hip hop... or something!!! They finally started to play some good music, but then we had to leave to another club. We got to Highlands around 11:30pm and HAD to stay there until 2am. They led us to a part of the Highlands club that we've never seen and were expected to have fun. Later, they let us go to the real Highlands club and it wasn't much better. We almost left one girl behind (there's a $50 charge if you get to the bus late) because they said she was passed out somewhere in the club, but no one could get back in. The girl later came tumbling back to the bus without her shoes. When we got back to the meeting house, there was tons of food waiting for us. But I was so sick from the bumpy ride that I couldn't even eat. I finally got home and ate some chips and felt better. Then I knocked out until my friend called me around 12noon!!! Dang, I might still be sleeping if she hadn't called. Thanks.

Hmm... so in all I would NOT recommend going on a party bus. Oh, I forgot to mention that they will charge you $100 if you throw up on the bus. The price per head is not very reasonable either. 21 people ended up paying $45 each. Now that's a party fowl! =\

Happy Halloween!!!

OK, here's the problem: I have candy to give out, but no one comes down my street because my neighbors are scrooged and don't turn their lights on. It's like pitch black on this street only on Halloween. How sad, huh? Anyhow I like the candy I bought so I guess I'm stuck eating them ALL. Happy Halloween to me!

The bartender (top) and the DJ (bottom) both thought I was just pregnant with the pillow for my belly because they somehow did not manage to see the Shrek ears on my head. They apologized and we all had a good laugh. Pregnant?!? The bartender mixed some good ass drinks!!! Thanks!

My friend was a Japanese girl (even though she really is Japanese), the dude was a prisoner, and you can see the boots of one of the Fanta Girls. My friends were the 4 Fanta Girls, but everyone thought they were Teletubbies so I decided not to show them. HaHa!

HALLOWEEN - Simi Valley Style

I was "bitten" *he painted that on me ok* by Dracula (below) shortly after I won the prize for FAVORITE BLOCKBUSTER MOVIE PERSONALITY. Dang! Why do people have to hate on SHREK. I love him. He's my idol. That's why I dressed up as him this Halloween!

This is the "BUSH" guy. Hmm... somewhat hooked on the younger ladies of the night. He was cool though, harmless. HaHa... a BUSH!!!

They called these "Bloody Tampons." You guess what's inside!?!

It was the "Nightmare Before Christmas" theme. There were pumpkins carved in these characters, as well as dolls, trees, and people dressed up as the main characters. Nice!

Diamond Head

I took this picture on one of my visits to Hawaii. Diamond Head is usually green with life, but it had not been raining for a while. Still, the picture looks like something you would see on a postcard. Too beautiful for words.

NAACP Executive Diversity Job Fair

I'm glad I went to this job fair today. I got so much cool stuff: A Monster t-shirt, an American Girl hat, a Mattel "play fair" bracelet, a Home Depot keychain, a couple of pens, a Northrop Grumman paper/photo holder, and a funky yo-yo from Capital Group. I guess I'm also glad I went to get my NAME and RESUME out there. Thanks to all the employers that really care!!!
